Medford’s Bailey Cless – Character Counts Presented By INTEGRIS Medford

By Ember McElrath

Senior at Medford High School, Bailey Cless, says she feels, “extremely honored and blessed to be thought of as someone with high character,” after being told she was receiving the Medford Character Counts Award. “To me good character means you are kind to everyone and you do the right thing no matter who’s around,” said Bailey.

Playing point guard for the high school’s basketball team, Bailey also keeps herself busy playing softball, golf, and track, as well as being a manager for the baseball team, FCCLA President, STUCO Vice President, the Senior Class Vice President, and reporter for the Spanish Club.

Being such a highly involved student and athlete Bailey knows what it means to be organized and responsible, but she knows that she couldn’t get all she needs to get accomplished without the help of some very important people. “I’ve been blessed with amazing teachers at Medford that understands all the extra activities. If you put in your best effort to do your work then they work with you to help you,” said Bailey.

Her inspiration and determination comes from her two older brothers Brice and Blake. “They have taught me so much about sports and have always been there to support me in everything,” Bailey said.

Her favorite part of basketball and the other activities she is involved in is getting to make new relationships and working with her teammates.

After high school Bailey plans on attending college to earn a degree in elementary education and hopes to also coach one day to help inspire the next generation of young athletes and students.
