Alva’s Cammi Rogge – Character Counts Presented By INTEGRIS Bass Baptist Health Center

The Alva Character Counts honor goes to Cammi Rogge,  a junior soccer player for the lady goldbugs. Rogge starts at right defender for Alva and has big expectations for the team this season.

“I expect our team to improve and to just work better as a team,” said Rogge, “also I just expect us to win more games this season after only winning one last season.”

Rogge says that as a junior her goals are just to grow as a player by continuing to improve on defense and by furthering her love and knowledge of soccer.

Outside of soccer Rogge is also a manager for the Alva football team. Her responsibilities include organizing things for the games, be sure there’s always water and that the appropriate equipment is available.

Cammi is a standout in the classroom with a 3.7 GPA. She is a member of the Science club and the Speech and Debate club. As a sophomore she made it to regionals, but didn’t get to compete this year.

After high school Rogge plans to attend NWOSU and major in nursing.

“I just want to be able to help and support people, that’s always been a passion of mine,” said Rogge.

That alone shows the kind of character Rogge shows in soccer and school.

“Character to me is being the person you are,” said Rogge “even when people aren’t around to watch you.”
