Vici’s Brenna Morris – FFA Spotlight Presented by Farm Credit of Western Oklahoma

Unlike many of her peers, Vici High School student Brenna Morris has a lifetime of experience in FFA. It was a natural fit for Morris to become a member in school.

“I have been involved in FFA since my childhood, it is a lifestyle for my family and me and has helped to build me into the person I am today. My family has always encouraged my love for FFA along with my Ag teacher Mr. Trent Gober,” said Morris.

Showing animals is just one of the things Morris has done while participating in FFA.

“I have shown sheep for eight years and pigs for two years. I was honored to receive reserve breed champion with my Southdown weather at The Oklahoma Youth Expo along with other notable awards through the years,” said Morris. “FFA has supported and nourished the skills I was taught by my family unit; such as, discipline, good personal skills, persistence, and high work ethic.”

The relationships Morris has formed in FFA are important to her. As is spending time with her family.

“I enjoy the relationships that are formed within FFA along with the spirit of camaraderie and time spent with family! That is how our family spends a large quantity of our best time together,” said Morris.

Her future plans include college and working towards becoming a physical therapist. But Morris said she is certain she will always be involved in Ag.

“My post graduation plans include going to college and majoring in physical therapy assistant, although plans may change as time progresses. One thing I know, is that agriculture will always be a part of my life whether it be helping other young people show or maintaining my livestock for the future,” said Morris. “I would always encourage young people to join Future Farmers of America. It will teach you the skills to be successful in life as well as give you quality lifelong relationships. You will never regret joining FFA.”

Away from FFA Morris enjoys playing softball, basketball and hunting. Of course, showing her animals is at the top of the list. She’s also a member of BETA Club and Business Professionals of America.

“I also attend church at the General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Vici,” said Morris.
