Fairview’s Emily Cusack – Northwest Technology Center Athlete Spotlight

Fairview High School senior Emily Cusack has big plans for her future. As a student at Fairview, Cusack is involved in many activities including FFA, FCCLA and HOSA. She’s also enrolled at Northwest Technology Center in the Bio-Med Program.

“I heard Northwest Tech was always fun and had a great atmosphere! I’m in the Bio-med program there,” said Cusack.

She enjoys the hands-on approach to learning and it’s allowed her to meet new people and make new friends.

“What I’ve enjoyed most is getting to have hands-on lab experiments and meeting new people,” said Cusack.

It’s no surprise her favorite subject in school is science, which guided her into choosing the Bio-Med program. Her plans after graduating include more school at the collegiate level.

“Upon graduation I plan to attend Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma and major in hospital administration,” said Cusack.

A year-around softball player for Fairview High School, Cusack loves playing with her teammates and representing the community.

“It’s hard work, but in the end it’s all totally worth it,” said Cusack. “I love the support from every organization in my school. No matter the contest, game, or activity there is always another group of kids going to watch and cheer them on.”

In her free time, Cusack loves to play softball and spend time with her friends and family.
