OFFENSE
The Seiling Wildcats have six starters back from a successful 2018 season. There are plenty of seniors leading the team this year as they bring good experience to the field. Fullback Payton Gregory (5-8, 200, Sr.) played an important role last year and will continue to do so this season. He hopes to build upon his 63 attempts for 400 yards and two touchdowns from last season. The lone junior of the returning starters, tailback Bryson Gore (5-10, 170, Jr.), will be another asset in the backfield. Snapping the ball is Kaden Templin (6-0, 260, Sr.), flanked by offensive guards Josh Colvard (5-9, 235, Sr.) and David Wion (6-3, 235, Sr.). Tight end Riley Tune (6-2, 200, Sr.) could be a big contributor as he hopes to exceed his four receptions and four touchdowns over 80 yards last year. The multiple offense aims to control the line of scrimmage and have efficient quarterback play this season.
DEFENSE
The core of six returning starters also leads the defense. Opposing teams should watch out for a strong line and aggressive tacklers. Last season, noseguards Kaden Templin and Josh Colvard collectively had 31 tackles (five tackles for loss), 2.5 sacks and one punt block. These two will anchor the line and are joined by defensive ends Riley Tune and David Wion. Last season Tune had 38.5 tackles (three for loss) and 3.5 sacks, while Wion had 36 tackles and 2.5 sacks. At linebacker, look for Payton Gregory to top his impressive 40.5 tackles (11 for loss) and 7.5 sacks. Bryson Gore will be a force to be reckoned with as a free safety who racked up 70.5 tackles, two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns last year.
