The Kingfisher Yellowjackets had a solid 2018 season and will continue to work hard as they gear up for this fall. They graduated a handful of big playmakers, but they are confident that they should have the talent to fill those roles. They plan to maintain the same up-tempo spread formation with their no-huddle, hurry-up offense. Cade Stephenson (6-0, 190, Jr.) takes the reins as quarterback this season. Protecting Stephenson and shoring up the offensive line will be Wes Hine (6-5, 285, Sr.) and Tanner Thompson (6-1, 245, Sr.). Wide receiver Jarret Birdwell (6-3, 185, Jr.) will provide Stephenson with a great passing option down the field. Caleb Dick (5-10, 170, Jr.) will be an offensive asset on the ground at running back. Riley Myers (6-1, 205, Sr.) is a player whose athleticism allows him to move all over the field, so look for him at either the tight end or fullback position.

Operating out of a 4-2-5 defensive formation, the Yellowjackets should have a strong D-line. Linemen Wes Hine and Tanner Thompson will play both ways. Head coach Jeff Myers says this will be a sound and fast defense. Riley Myers will also see action on this side of the ball as a triple-threat combo of defensive end and outside/inside linebacker. Keaton Abercrombie (5-11, 180, Sr.) will contribute at both safety and linebacker. Clayton Abercrombie (5-10, 165, Sr.) will return to his spot in the secondary as cornerback.
