Sharon-Mutual’s Alex Carter: Boys Track Poll Winner – Presented by Iron Nation Harley-Davidson

 

 

A junior at  Sharon-Mutual High School, Alex Carter has competed in track and field for three years. He competes in the 110 and 300 hurdles as well as disc, with disc being his personal favorite.

Carter takes pride in getting to compete for the Trojans and show what they can do. His summary of this track season was that it was very successful.

“I like representing my community and school by bringing home medals and plaques,” he said.

In addition to track, Carter plays football and basketball. He stays motivated by the desire to uphold his school’s and his own reputation in athletics.

“Just a good moral and competitive reputation motivates me to be my best,” he said.

Carter says that he admires NBA players Donovan Mitchell as a role model in and out of sports.

“Donovan Mitchell is my idol because he’s an awesome person whether he is competing or not,” he said.

After high school Carter plans to pursue a college athletic career and study criminal justice.
